Mexican Ojo de Dios Children's Workshop

For children aged 4 - 11, Saturday 8th February 2pm - 3.45pm

Hannah Fields

Service Description

Come and join us for a creative workshop where we will be making colourful Ojo de Dios (Gods eyes). Ojo de Dios originate from the Huichol indigenous people of Mexico, and symbolise prayers for their children, protection, long life, and abundant crops. The first part of the session will be spent in our heated cabin where the children will be able to weave simple Gods eyes using sticks and yarn. The session will finish outside around the campfire where the children will have the chance to cook 'bread on a stick' on the fire. Parents are very welcome to join their child for the workshop or can wait in our cafe, but must stay on site. Warm layers and suitable outdoor footwear advised. The cost for this session is £10 per child
